Choose a J.Rose Message in a Bottle bottle at your wine shop or online.

02Tap
Hold your smartphone near the bottom of the front of the bottle: the NFC tag is hidden beneath the textured label. This opens the dedicated page: enter your email, confirm with the code you receive, and you can upload your message straight away.
How to enable NFC
- iPhoneIt is always enabled. Hold the top of your phone near the tag.
- AndroidCheck that NFC is enabled in settings and hold the centre of the back of your phone near the tag.
- Every timeKeep your smartphone still against the bottle for a couple of seconds. If it does not read the tag, remove the case.

03Entrust
Write a dedication, record a video up to 1 minute long, or both. If you wish, protect your message with a password. Review everything carefully: once confirmed, it can no longer be edited.

Received a J.Rose bottle with Message in a Bottle?
Someone has entrusted you with a message. Hold your smartphone near the bottom of the front of the bottle, and it opens straight away. If protected, enter the password shared by the person who gave it to you.

Look for Message in a Bottle bottles at your nearest J.Rose wine shop. If they are not available, you can order them there. Online, you can add Message in a Bottle when you buy.

Frequently asked questions
What is NFC? Does my phone have it?
It is the same technology used for contactless payments. All iPhones from the XS onwards and most Android smartphones have it: on Android, if it is not already enabled, you can turn it on in settings.
Do I need to download an app or create an account?
No. The tag opens the J.Rose page directly in your browser. To upload your message, you only need your email address: you receive an OTP code and enter it.
Who can view the message?
With open access, anyone who holds their smartphone near the tag. With protected access, only those who know the password.
Can I edit the message after saving it?
No. Before confirming, you can review and change everything; after saving, the message stays as it is.
What if the recipient forgets the password?
The password cannot be recovered, but the person who created the message can set a new one at any time.
How much does it cost?
Uploading your message is free: there is nothing to pay beyond the bottle with the NFC tag.
The tag is not being read: what should I do?
Remove the case, hold your phone near the bottom of the front of the bottle, and keep it still for a few seconds. On Android, check that NFC is enabled. If the problem persists, write to info@jrose.it.
